Week 5

On thursday I had a work related event where everyone from my department was. We went to Hooghalen which is south of the city Assen to an event venue. There we rode either with motorized bicycles or electric bicycles through the Dutch countryside. We stopped mid way to a bar where we had apple pie and a drink of our choosing.

                     

After that we went back to the venue and had traditional Dutch foods for dinner. The distance we biked was around 36 kilometers.

Nothing else special happened during the week.

Week 6

The 6th week was my last week in the Netherlands. My manager graded my performance on tuesday and signed the rest of my documents. Nothing else happened during the week before friday. I traveled back to Finland on friday. I woke up at 5 am and started walking to the railway station. I was 2 hours in the train until I arrived in Schiphol Airport 8:54 am. I got through check in and security very fast as it was not busy at all. I waited 2 hours after security and ate there.  The plane left 11:55 am and arrived in Finland 15:15 pm finnish time. The trip took 2 hours 20 minutes. My parents came to get me in Helsinki-Vantaa airport and drove me home.                                                                                      ...

Week 4

Weekdays during the 4th week were same as always. Working 7:30 to 16:00. Nothing special happened during the weekdays.         For the weekend I went to the capital of the Netherlands, Amsterdam for a day trip during the weekend. The train there took about 2 and a half hours and I didnt have any problems. I arrived in Amsterdam Centraal around 12pm. After I left the train station I immediately ran into this view.   As I only went there for a day trip I only explored a small part of the city which was mostly near the train station. I bought some souvenirs from a shopping center. The weather was very good as it was sunny the entire day. I first went to eat at Dunkin Donuts and after a few hours I went to a KFC.                                                              ...
